LOVELY FINDS No5

I absolutely love the Corpse Bride. It is one of my favourite films and I want to have every figurine from the film starting with Emily.
It is sold out at the moment but i'm sure you could probably find it on Ebay or Amazon.

I'm not sure where I can get these but they are so so so cool!
Argonath Bookends! Perfect for Lord of the Rings fans like moi!

Yes it is another Lord of The Rings find. Bag end. It has both Bilbo and Frodo's hobbit hole and the doors are ajar to reveal the paved floor at the entrance. This cost quite a lot but I think it is worth it!

Yes! Another Globe! But this time it is the Phantom Through the Mirror Globe and it plays the famous tune The Music Of The Night. I love music boxes and water globes. And now I can have both together.
I have an Anastasia Trinket Box that plays Once Upon a December. Swan Lake and Phantom of the Opera is also available as a trinket box.

DIY Oscars Statue

DIY Oscars Statue:

So the Oscars were on last night. I was a bit disappointed that The Hobbit nor Benedict Cumberbatch won anything but on the bright side the lovely Eddie Redmayne won best actor and gave that adorable acceptance speech. It was an amazing show with many wonderful actors and actresses present. Anyway I decided to post an Oscar themed DIY today. I found it on http://www.boston.com/.

What you'll need:

- Ken doll
- wooden base
- metallic gold spray paint
- paint brush
- glue gun or any strong glue
- scissors
- mod podge
- black acrylic paint

How to do it:

1. Start by cutting your Ken doll's hair as short as possible and slick it backwards using mod podge. Let it dry for about half an hour.

2. Once the mod podge is dry, spray your Ken doll evenly with the metallic gold spray paint. Wait around 8 to 10 minutes for the first coat to dry then do the same for the back. Wait 20 minutes for the paint to fully dry.

3. While waiting for Ken to dry, paint your wooden base in black acrylic paint. Let it dry for 10 minutes before applying the second coat.

4. Once the base and Ken are both dry, use your hot glue or very strong glue to attach them together.

Finished!

Now you have your very own Oscars statue! This would be great for an Oscars themed party.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for not being very active lately. I've been very busy and exams are soon but I'm back now! I'm looking for DIYs to make but I don't really have time to buy the proper equipment. I'll try and figure something out for this weekend. Anyway...

Here are this week's finds:

Doctor Who TARDIS Projection Alarm Clock.
This is so cool! When the alarm goes off it projects the time and the Doctor Who logo and features the sound of the TARDIS materialising! Oh my god! It's currently out of stock but you could probably find it on Amazon.

I actually just want the Snow Globe. I used to go to Paris a couple of times per year and never thought of buying a snow globe as a souvenir and love snow globes!

Lord of The Rings / The Hobbit Tolkien 'Home is behind' Dark Wood 450ml Vintage Drinking Jar Glass

I like everything about this. The simplicity makes it very attractive. I also love the curviness of the glass. I could probably make this myself though. I think I have a similar glass lying around somewhere.

Dhurrie Occasional Chair
It comes four different colours, dark turquoise, lime, blue and raspberry. I wish I could have all of them, one for each member of my family. I would take the blue one as seen on the picture, my sister the lime one, my mum the raspberry one and my dad the turquoise one. It would look so beautiful in the apartment.

DIY Floral Purse

DIY Floral Purse:

So someone bought my mum a purse today. It wasn't a very nice purse I must say, flashy red, cheap, tacky anyway you get the picture. I'm sorry for the person who bought it. You must all think I'm horrible. If you live in the same country as me, honestly you would understand.
Anyway, my mum said she couldn't possibly use it so I decided to do something about it. This is what I did:

What You'll Need:

 - An old or "not in use" purse
 - Floral Washi Tape
 - Scissors
 - Embellishement

How to do it:

1. Cover the whole purse with your floral washi tape.

2. Cut off the tape that overlaps the edges.

3. Add buttons, beads, rhinestones, anything to embellish your purse.
